Darlene M. Hendricks
July 7, 1933 - June 6, 2015

Sublimity – Darlene, 81, died Saturday, June 6 at her home with her family at her side. She was born in the house that she died in. Darlene lived in Sublimity all of her life. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church/Altar Society. Darlene was a founding member of the Sublimity Harvest. She was a founding member of Firebells, a fire support team for Sublimity Fire Department. Darlene was a School bus driver for over 25 years and was the field burning agent for Sublimity/Silverton area for 35 years.

She enjoyed her family, and baking birthday cakes for all of them every year on their birthday’s. Darlene was a historian for her family, which she loved doing. She married Herman Hendricks on May 14, 1955 at St. Boniface, they were blessed to celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together.

Darlene is survived by her husband; Herman of Sublimity, children: Kevin (Kimberly) Hendricks of Coos Bay, Karey (Laurie) of Sublimity; Kim (Steve) Zuber of Sublimity; Kristen (Allen) Hendricks-Harris of Mesa, AZ, Kamala (Steve) Voth of Lyons and Kara Childress of Sublimity; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Louis Childress, brother, Errol Kintz and sister, Evelyn Ditter.

Viewing will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 3-9 pm at North Santiam Funeral Service in Stayton. Recitation of Rosary will be Friday, June 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm and Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 am both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Sublimity. Contributions may be made to St. Boniface Altar Society prayer garden project. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
