Ed was born and raised in Corvallis, OR. His great grandparents farmed the lands where OSU currently farms. Mary's Peak was one of their properties until the war broke out and the government needed it as a lookout. Ed was born to Jessie Hull Nash and Edna Theodosia Elizabeth Wyatt. His brothers and sister include Harold, Robert and Melissa. They grew up on the homestead on Nash Rd in Corvallis.

Ed went into the Navy November, 1948-1952 on the USS Austin, An Escort Destroyer.

He started working for Consumer Power Inc. November 1948 until 1979. His work took him From Idanha, Stayton and Corvallis. He started the cable company that ranged from Stayton to Detroit which he sold later. He came back to Stayton 10 years ago to be by all his kids.

He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 65 years.

He was married to Ruth J. Fenters for 59 years. Their children include: Penny Nash, Myron Williams (Cindy), Jerry Williams (Patty); 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. His youngest great-grandchild was born 3 days before he passed. We all kept him very busy. From building whatever project was needed he was the right man. We all fought about who got to borrow him and his skills next. He was loved and had great love to give, he will be eternally missed.
