Rita D. (Watts) Noack
May 16, 1938 – November 12, 2015

Stayton – Rita, 77, died November 12 at her home in Stayton, surrounded with the love of her family. She was born in Newton, KS and moved to Oregon as a child. She grew up in the Stayton/Sublimity area and returned after raising her family in Albany.

Rita graduated from St. Boniface High School in 1957. She married Gerald “Jerry” Noack on June 17, 1961 in Reno, NV. Rita owned and operated Country Classics gift shop in Sublimity. She enjoyed collecting chicken memorabilia and spending time with her grandchildren who all say “No one left grandma's house hungry.” She made everyone who came into her home feel welcome.

Rita is survived by her husband: Jerry of Stayton; daughter: Tina Greiner of Albany; brothers: Rodney Watts (Diane) of Klamath Falls and Larry Watts (Donna) of Salem; sister: Dolores Heuberger of Stayton; Grandchildren Brandon Noack (Jessica) of Madras, William Soto (Chelsea) of Salem, James Hettick of San Diego and Katherine Greiner-O’Shanan of Portland, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and just as many “adopted” kids who all referred to her as mom or grandma, but never just Rita.

No services will be held at her request. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
