Richard “Dick” P. Waters
March 30, 1932 – December 27, 2015

Lyons – Dick, 83, passed away unexpectedly, doing his favorite thing, watching his beloved Seahawks with his son on December 27. He was born in Brownsville and lived all of his life in the Stayton/Lyons area. Dick served in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Donna Kutch in Stayton on January 8, 1955, she preceded him in death in 2004.

Dick was a mill worker all of his life, working at Cedar Lumber and later retiring from North Santiam Plywood. He was an honorable and honest man. Dick enjoyed traveling with friends and family and was an avid reader. He was a caregiver for his wife and later visited her faithfully, every day for nine years at the Nursing Home.

Dick is survived by children: Shelly (Joe) Zanella of Stayton, Len Waters of Mill City and Fritzi (Ellery) Heer of Kent, WA; brother: Peter Waters of Prineville; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at Bilyeu Den Cemetery in Scio on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
