Salem – Leslie,
97, died Tuesday in Salem. She was born in White Salmon, WA
and moved to Salem in 1935. Leslie was married to Herman Vogl
and later married Robert Tanner, he preceded her in death in
1994. She worked as an assistant pharmacist for the State
Hospital for over 20 years. Leslie enjoyed reading, traveling,
and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salem.
Leslie was a thirty
year cancer survivor. She is survived by her children: Marie
(Dan) Lowrey of LaPine, Margaret Vogl of Vancouver, WA, Evelyn
(Albert) Bertoli of Scio, Virginia Conley of Oreville, CA,
Michael (Kathy) Vogl of Finksburg, MD, and Steven Vogl of
Salem; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 14
great-great-grandchildren. Leslie was preceded in death by her
daughter, Cecelia Wojciechowski, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 2
granddaughters and 1 great-granddaughter.
Recitation of Rosary
will be Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 2:30 pm followed by
Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul
Catholic Church in Salem. Private interment will be in
Restlawn Memory Gardens in Salem. Serving the family, North
Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
