Sublimity – Diana,
75, died May 17th in Salem. She was born in Longview, WA and
lived most of her life in Sublimity. Diana married John Welter
on January 30, 1960 in Sublimity. She worked as a beautician,
a lunch lady at Sublimity School and later owned and operated
her own business, Cheese and Crackers Catering for over 20
Diana was a member
of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Firebells,
the PTA, and Catholic Order of Foresters. She taught religion
and Brownie troops. Diana enjoyed being outdoors, walking,
taking pictures, spending time with animals and cake
decorating. Diana lived her life for her family. She gave
endlessly to make other people's lives better.
She is survived by
her husband: John of Sublimity; daughters: Corky (Jay) Justis
of Sublimity, Tami (Gary) Dayton of Sublimity, Missy (Rick)
Riesterer of Silverton, Ronna (Shane) Wallen of Sublimity and
Mindy (Shad) Wallen of Scio; she also adored 10 grandchildren
and 3 great-grandchildren. Diana was preceded in death by her
sister, Marlene Chapman.
Mass of Christian
Burial will be Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1:30 pm at St.
Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Interment in St.
Boniface Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Sublimity
Fire Department. Serving the family, North
Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
