Norbert J. Frost
March 22, 1924 – May 23, 2017

Sublimity – Norbert, 93, died May 23 at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany. He was born in Bowdle, SD and moved to Stayton in 1955. Norbert served in the Pacific Campaign in the US Navy during WWII. He married Irene Tobin on June 24, 1947 in South Dakota. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2016. Norbert was a farmer while living in South Dakota. He worked at Stuckart’s sawmill for many years after moving to Oregon, and in maintenance at Norpac for over 20 years.

Norbert was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, American Legion, and Teamsters Union. He enjoyed playing cards, working in his yard, and most recently his friendships he made at the Sloper apartments where he was a resident.

Norbert is survived by children: Jerry (Kerry) Frost of Salem, Jean (Frank) Hubbard of Stayton, Jill (Randy) Lindemann of Stayton and Joanie (Craig) Adams of Kirkland, WA; granddaughters: Aubrey Frost of Keizer, Kyla Hughes of Keizer, Kelsey Kidd of Seattle, WA, Katie Adams of Kirkland, WA, Makayla Lindemann, Alyssa Lindemann, and Emma Lindemann all of Stayton; great-grandchildren: Ashlynn and Addison Hughes and Mick Roach. He was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Frost, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House 1046 SW 6th Ave. Albany, OR 97321. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
