Margaret June Hoerth

Aumsville Margaret June, 95, died November 21 in Aumsville. She was born in Bingen, WA and moved to Aumsville in 1980 from Aberdeen, SD. Margaret married Eugene E. Hoerth on December 24, 1941 in Reno, NV; he preceded her in death on May 28, 1983. She and her husband owned and operated EE Hoerth Amusement, coin operated amusement devices. Margaret enjoyed sewing, reading, quilting, painting and baking; she was known for her tarts and sugar kuchen. She also liked traveling and went to all 50 states and many countries. Margaret attended Turner Christian Church and in later years listened to Rev. Salem of Aberdeen, SD when she was housebound.

She is survived by children: Margaret (Edwin) Dowding of Keizer, Douglas Hoerth of Clackamas, Natalie Wisdahl of Mayo, FL, Shawn (Penny) Hoerth of Boring, and Glenn Hoerth of Boring; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Jene Webster, four brothers and one sister.

Memorial service will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church in Mosier, graveside service to follow. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
