Elizabeth, 18, died tragically Friday night in Monmouth. She
was born on September 12, 1999 in Silverton and spent her
entire life living and loving her family’s farm.
Elizabeth graduated Valedictorian from Silverton High
School in June 2017 and was starting her college career at WOU
focusing on her love for biology. She was a member of St.
Paul’s Catholic Church in Silverton.
reading, dancing, singing, spending time with both her family
and friends. Her latest passions were drawing, photography and
her senior year she played tennis at SHS. She had a true
thirst for knowledge and knowing the world.
Elizabeth started her travel journeys when she was very
young, 6, seeing most of the United States, and Italy, Spain,
Mexico and Canada. Elizabeth just returned from a month long
trip in Asia where she was able to be an elephant caretaker
for an entire day, feeding and bathing her elephant. She lived
her dreams every day! Elizabeth had the kindest heart that spread joy
to everyone she touched. Her smile brought warmth to all it
shined on and her words were always filled with gratitude and
preceded in death by her Grandfathers Bob and Bruce and
Grandma Helen. Elizabeth
is survived by her loving parents Anthony and Kristan Hoke of
Silverton; her sister: Abbie Hoke of Silverton, grandmother:
Sandie Philippi of Silverton and her dog, Max. Also many
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of
life will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the
Oregon Garden Main Pavilion. Rosary at 9:30 followed by
Catholic Mass on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 am at
St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Silverton. Reception following
at St. Paul’s. Interment
will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Silverton. Contributions may
