Over the years he developed the Doubletree business center, Ford Town, owned flower shops, pizza parlor, the French pallet, the Nursery Outlet and the Boulders Manufactured Home Park to name a few of his adventures.

For several years he was member of the Marion County Fair Board. He enjoyed giving back to his community his entire life always supporting schools, Stayton Hospital and many other community events. Next to his business activities his greatest joy was traveling with his family and friends, he was always on the go. When not traveling he was gardening, cooking or entertaining friends.
