Joyce Elaine Warrick

November 13, 1927 – October 22, 2017

Turner, OR – Joyce, 89, died October 22 in Sublimity. She was born in Dublin, IN spending 26 years in Tokyo, Japan as a missionary before moving to Turner in 2004. Joyce married Robert Warrick on June 20, 1950 in Cambridge City, IN. She worked as a kindergarten and elementary school teacher for over 15 years. Joyce was a member of Turner Christian Church and WCTU (Women’s Christian Temperance Union). She enjoyed music, singing, reading, writing poetry, making new friends of many cultures, and collecting teddy bears.

Joyce is survived by her husband: Robert of Turner; children: Ed Warrick of Mableton, GA, Barbara Duhrkoop of Tokyo, Japan, Keith Warrick of Cincinnati, OH, David and Don Warrick both of Indianapolis, IN, and Miriam Warrick of Greenwood, IN; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. 

She will be remembered as a godly woman who was a hard worker and was always ready to help others. Memorial service will be Monday, October 30, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Turner Retirement Homes Activities Center in Turner. Contributions may be made to the Turner Retirement Homes in Joyce's name.
