Victor “Frank” Wilson
June 2, 1948 - March 7, 2017

Stayton - Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Herbert Wilson and Bonnie (Osborn) Wilson he was christened Victor Frank but was always called Frank or Frankie. The family moved to California after losing a son and 2 stillborn daughters and hard times working in the cotton fields. A few years later they moved to Oregon.  Frank attended grade schools in Monitor and Scotts Mills and graduated from Silverton High School in 1967.  He attended community college at Wenatchee Valley, Lane Community and earned his Associates degree in Law Enforcement from Chemeketa. He graduated with honors from the Oregon Police Academy.

Frank married Penny DeSantis from Silverton Feb. 6, 1971, celebrating 46 years of marriage. They have lived in Stayton for 33 years.  They have been blessed to love  and to be loved by each other's families as their own.

They have three daughters,  Cory & husband Henry DeHaan, Kelly Wilson, and Holly & husband Matthew Norman. Grandchildren: Victoria Rain Williams, Jesse Wilson, Maddalyn Wilson, Zachery Wilson and Cosmo Norman.  Great grandchildren: Zeven and Athen Williams.

Frank's careers included Silverton Police Officer, Stayton Septic Service & Stayton Construction. His loves included his family, storytelling, slow pitch softball, hunting and fishing.

He retired in 2005 after a motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver which left him with quadriplegia for the last 12 years. He passed away peacefully at home with his family. He was an amazing person who was loved beyond measure.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Foothills Church in Stayton. Interment in Lone Oak Cemetery, Stayton. Serving the family North Santiam Funeral Service in Stayton.
