Richard T. Boatright

December 17, 1948 – August 6, 2018

Stayton – Richard, 69, died August 6 in Salem. He was born in Stayton and lived most of his life in the Stayton/Salem area. Richard served in the US Army as a weapons specialist during the Vietnam War, serving 2 tours. He received 2 purple hearts and a silver star for his service. Richard was an avid fisherman and worked as a fishing guide. As a young man he raced motorcycles on the flat track, later his passion about motorcycles carried on to Harley’s and “He lived to ride” and was always down for an adventure. Richard was a jack of all trades who also had a liking for knives and guns.

He is survived by his daughters: Bobbi Quitoriano and Lea Reed both of Salem; sisters: Donna Call of Salem and June Herrin of Reno, NV; and seven grandchildren.

A celebration of Life will be held in the Willamette Valley. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
