George “Rich” Duncan Jr.
March 27, 1928 – August 2, 2018

Stayton – Rich, 90, died August 2 in Stayton. He was born in Salem and lived all of his life in Stayton. Rich served in the US Navy. He married Mary Ely on June 10, 1950 in Stayton. Rich received his law degree from Willamette University and started a law practice in Stayton that he owned and operated for over 50 years. He was a past president of the Santiam Hospital Board. Rich was a member of the Oregon State Bar Association and the Oregon Mounted Posse. He enjoyed downhill skiing, water skiing, snowmobiling, hunting and backpacking. Rich enjoyed lots of activities with horses and was partners in 2 different ranches in Eastern Oregon.

He is survived by his wife: Mary of Stayton; daughters: Deborah “Deb” (Phil) Meyers of Stayton and Teresa “Terri” Hampton of Pasadena, CA; grandchildren: Jeff Benefiel, Roger (Anna) Benefiel, Chandra Hampton and Tiana Hampton and great-grandchildren: Reagan, Charlie, Khalia, Khalib and Aydan.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, August 17, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Santiam Golf Course in Stayton. Private interment was in Lone Oak Cemetery, Stayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Santiam Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund or Stayton Public Library Foundation. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
