Sublimity - Wayne
passed away Saturday evening after a battle with cancer at his
home surrounded by his family. He was born in Mishawaka, IN
and moved to Phoenix, AZ with his family during his early
childhood. Wayne studied at Northern Arizona University where
he received his Master's Degree and from there taught on the
Chinle Reservation in Arizona. After moving to Oregon in 1977
he briefly taught at Corvallis High School and then went to
work for Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife as a fish
biologist for 30 years in the Santiam Canyon. For the last 34
years he's lived in Sublimity.
Wayne married Patricia Bruijn
on March 17th, 1980 in Reno, NV. He was a member of Stayton
Christian Church, where he served as an Elder for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, road tripping, hiking, and
spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Pat
of Sublimity, children: Lenny (Tina) Hunt of Boise, ID, Jana
(David) Loose of Madras, Lance (Lesley) Hunt of Salem, and
Sara (Nate) Gillard of Silverton; siblings: Lila Gray, Eilene
McCartney, Larry Hunt, Lee Hunt, Nelson Hunt and Zane Hunt;
and 10 grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his
parents: Lowell and Thelma Hunt; sister: Jean Guyer; and three

March 31st at 11:00 am at Stayton Christian Church in Stayton.
