Jonathan “Jon”  Liesch
January 22, 1991 – June 23, 2018

Stayton – Jonathan, age 27, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Stayton. He was born in Salem and lived most of his life in Sublimity.

Jon is survived by his parents: Jim and Barbara Liesch of Sublimity; sister and brother-in-law: Miriam and Milan Castillo of Sublimity; nephews: Luke, Benji and Adam Castillo and niece Hannah Castillo; grandmother: Lydia Liesch of Bakersfield, CA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.

Jon was very artistic and found joy in music, sketching, and woodworking. He also loved reading and traveling. Jon had the gift of making the most of every day. He lived life in the moment, on his terms. He was a free spirit. Jon had many plans and dreams for the future which were on their way to becoming a reality.

Jon had a special love for life, his family and friends. Although he did not leave this world on his terms, he passed with the dignity and pride of leading a life well lived. He made us so proud. We are forever changed for having him in our lives, though not for nearly long enough.

Jon, it was truly a privilege and honor to have you as our son, brother and friend. We will always love you and cherish the time we had with you. May you find peace in the arms of God.

Recitation of Rosary will be Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity, where he was a member. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
