Higgins was born on July 14, 1946, in Tacoma, Washington to
Lucius and Maybel May Pease.
As a young person, Rosemary worked at a Baptist
church in Tacoma as a clown and with puppets.
On November 16, 1967, Rosemary was married to Robert
were married for over 48 years.
Though Rosemary and Bob had no children of their own,
they managed to spoil many little creatures in their home,
especially and ultimately their beloved dog, Tootsie.
worked as a housewife, and at a gift store and at two
second-hand stores. She
had a talent for drawing flowers and butterflies with
colored pencils. She
was able to help others learn to do the same.
And she joyfully shared her pictures and cards with
of Rosemary’s favorite Gospel hymns were “I Need Thee
Every Hour” and “This World Is Not My Home”.

After a long illness that weakened her
physically, Rosemary was lovingly cared for by hospice
workers and home care workers from various organizations.
She was loved and cared for by her friends from the
Mehama Community Church and Stayton Christian Church.
Rosemary Higgins passed from this life into the
eternal rest that is promised in Jesus Christ, her Lord and
Savior. She was
predeceased by her husband, Robert, who passed away in July
of 2016, and her sister, Patty Ann Watson.
Her sojourn on earth was 73 years, 3 months and 16
days. There was
a longing in her heart for the day that she would see Jesus
face to face, and be gathered into His presence with those
she loved on earth. May
