– Dwayne Arlo Lindley passed away peacefully in his sleep in
the early morning hours of January 5th, 2019 at the age of 82.
of 56 years and father of four; Dwayne was born the first of
three children on January 10, 1936 to Darold and Frances
Lindley in Albany, Oregon.
attended Madison Grade School and participated in Safety
grade school, middle school and high school he was an active
Boy Scout member from 1948 to 1955, during which he obtained
the rank of Life Scout and attended the National Jamboree in
Irvine Ranch, CA in 1953.
graduation from high school 1955, he enrolled in the Army
National Guard before enlisting in the United States Army in
January of 1957 where he was stationed at Fort Slocum, New
York for Information School before serving in Korea as a Stars
and Stripes Newspaper Information Specialist until January of

Medford, Oregon. In
October of 1962, Dwayne married Sharon Lee Griffitts at the

Driver Examiner and was involved in the State-Wide Travel

November of 1968 while Dwayne continued his career with DMV in
Beaverton and from there, they moved in 1969 to Keizer, Oregon
and he transferred to Salem DMV.
was added to the family in May of 1972 before they moved to
Shaw in 1974 where they have resided for the last 44 years.
the youngest was born February of 1978, shortly before Dwayne
transferred to work at the Stayton DMV in 1979-80 where he
worked until his retirement in 1996. He retired with 30 years
he retired, he was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church
for over 22 years. Dwayne
served as an Elder, and Member of the Mission Community,
Business Management and YAM Team at the church.
enjoyed reading, watching westerns, attending Men’s Roundup
with his sons and great friends, and a true love of watching
all sports on TV or in person.

Lindley, Miranda Lindley, Tasha Thomas, Justina Lindley,
Marcella Lindley and BrayLynn Lindley; and was a loved grandpa
of 2 great–grandchildren: Mikayla Lindley and Natalie
will be Friday, January 11, 2019 from 12-8 pm at North Santiam
Funeral Service. Graveside service will be Saturday, January
12, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Lebanon IOOF cemetery. Memorial
service will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Bethel
Baptist Church in Aumsville. Serving the family, North
