Alice Latricia Johnson Miotke
February 5, 1937 – June 21, 2020

Alice, 83, passed away in Sublimity a resident of McKillop, Residence at the Marian Estates. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Earl and Jennie (Sleuder) Johnson. When Alice was very young her family moved to Stayton where she grew up and attended Stayton High School. Alice graduated in 1955 and married Bernie Miotke on May 26, 1956 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. After high school she was employed by Gene Teague Chevrolet Dealership and the Star Theatre. Some of Alice’s other positions included owning and operating Berdino’s Pizza and Bernie’s Tavern. Alice is best known for Nanny’s House Daycare, which operated for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband Bernie Miotke; daughter Tamie Jessen of Turner; sons, Tony Miotke of Brooksville, Florida and Ted Miotke of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandsons: Josiah (Emily) Jessen of Philomath, Ricky Ontiveros of San Diego, CA; grand-daughters: Gina Ontiveros of San Diego, CA and Elizabeth Miotke of Scottsdale, Arizona and three great-grandchildren: Rowan, Noah and Amaryllis Jessen.

A private graveside will be held at Lone Oak II Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
