Carol Christina Ray

July 18, 1927 – May 15, 2020

Stayton – Carol, 92, a lifetime resident of Oregon passed away in Stayton. She was born on July 18, 1927 to Henry and Edith Huntley. Carol was born and lived in Stayton until she was 12 years old. She lived in Myrtle Point where she married Elkon Walker on August 11, 1946. The couple lived in Klamath Falls and Medford, before returning to Stayton with their children in 1968. Carol was a dispatcher for the Stayton Police Department from 1971 until 1980. She then worked for the Stayton Pharmacy for over 15 years until she retired. Carol was a member of Stayton Christian Church and enjoyed knitting as a favorite hobby.

She was preceded in death by her brother Butch Huntley; her first husband Elkon Walker in 1973 and her husband Harold Ray in August of 2019. Carol is survived by her children: Cheryl D’Angelo of Mazatlán, Mexico; E.J. (Sue) Walker of Stayton, Oregon; Steve (Kathy) Walker of Lyons, Oregon; Loretta (Kevin) Kelly of Portland, Oregon. Carol was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
