– Ryan was born in Salem, lived in Monmouth, Dallas, Salem,
Portland, and Turner, OR. He completed high school in Dallas,
then served in the Oregon National Guard as a Combat Engineer.
Later he became a skilled general construction worker and
attained his associate’s degree in Business along with
personal, professional skills and talents. His hobbies
included fishing, car races (sprint mostly), fantasy
football, dungeons and dragons, cooking, music, friends and
family. Ryan is survived by his long-time girlfriend Staci
Greenup; his parents: Rick and Becky Dewar; daughter Katerina
Johnson; siblings: Rick Dewar Jr., Wade Russell, and Haley
Dyer; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews he
loved the challenge and skill involved in fishing. He felt a
sense of peace and tranquility while near the water.

For the past twenty
years he enjoyed playing fantasy football league with the same
group of friends, his brother Wade and Bryan (brother-in-law),
and won the last season played! He also loved playing Dungeons
and Dragons with his Uncle John, brother Wade and
long-standing friends for over thirty years.
He never missed a
family or event, even if he was the only one who could come.
He was a loyal, faithful, and true friend and family man. He
was a loving father and grandfather who wanted to be involved
as much as possible. He was a fearless protector of those he
loved and would not hesitate to put himself in harms way. Ryan
was never judgmental and was the most kindhearted and loving
man anyone could wish to know. He left us all with cherished
and lifelong memories. He will be greatly missed and loved but
