Evelyn Iola Swanson
January 30, 1931 – April 1, 2020

Turner – Evelyn, 89, passed away at Santiam Hospital. She was born in Estacada, Oregon to Ralph and Nadine Kelley on January 30, 1931. Evelyn graduated from Estacada High School in 1950 and moved to Aumsville in 1952. She married George Swanson in Turner on March 22, 2014. Evelyn was a truck driver for Phillipi Ford and Ford Motor Company before working for NORPAC for 40 years. She was a teamster’s member, a volunteer for Stayton Historical Society, a member of the Santiam Senior Center and a volunteer for Turner Elementary K-3. She was also a member of T.O.P.S., a non-profit weight loss support group, for over 25 years. Her hobbies including spending time with family, fishing and camping.

Evelyn is survived by her husband; George Swanson of Turner; son; Alan Fuson of Prineville, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 51 years; Fuzzy Fuson who passed away on April 5, 2003; children; Linda Dodge and Dennis Fuson; 5 brothers and her parents. Services will be scheduled at a later date. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
