Scio – Jamie, 63,
died March 21, 2021 in Stayton. He was born in Sonoma, CA on
July 14, 1957 to Arnold and Shirley Hollenbeak. Jamie grew
up in Klamath Falls, completed college at OIT and served in
the US Army. He worked as an engineer for ODOT for many
years, until his retirement. Jamie married Sandra
Heckenlaible in 1992. He was a member of Jefferson
Baptist Church, Mt. Jefferson Snowmobile Club, and the
Willamette Valley Bee Keepers. Jamie volunteered for
Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, and the Aspire program helping
students at Scio High School prepare for college admissions.
He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, camping, crabbing, dirt
bike ridding and bee keeping.
He is survived by his wife:
Sandra of Scio; daughter: Kirsten Hollenbeak of Salem; son:
Jorin Hollenbeak of Corvallis; and brother: Scott Hollenbeak
of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rick
Hollenbeak and sister, Cathy Smith.
A Celebration of Life
will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Jefferson
Baptist Church in Jefferson with a reception to follow.
