– Harold “Hal” Noice, 92, passed away on January 15,
2021. He was born in Columbus, OH to Harold and Loretta
Noice on August 20, 1928 at White Cross Hospital in Ohio.
His mother, Loretta Mildred Harsh-Noice-Alandar, was born in
Big Plane, OH. Hal graduated from high school when he was 15
years old. He was a WWII private in the US Army Air Corp,
“Radar” August 21, 1946 to March 16, 1947.
service Hal went to Linn Benton Community College and
started his career working as a printer for Tombstone
Epitaph, in the pit copper mines in Bisbee, AZ, at Lasauras
Department Store in San Diego, CA delivery for Compton
Cleaners, Encore Cleaners as a valet to the stars in
Hollywood, CA, owned a dry cleaner with Patty in Salana
Beach, CA, owned and operated a print shop, The Standard
Register News Paper in Rockford and Tekoa, WA for 10 years,
continued to do printing and selling the newspaper in
Spokane, WA, a welfare work in Corvallis, and owned H/P
Janitorial Business in Corvallis, as well as printing.
is survived by his life partner of 59 years: Patty Conrad-Shirer-Noice
of Salem; his step-son Richard L. Shirer of Salem; sons:
Kenny E. Noice of Pound, WI and Douglas Noice of Clyde, TX;
daughters: Susan Noice-Corson of Salem and her husband Andy
Corson of Gates; Lollie (William) Noice-Whitney of Lyons;
sister: Sandra (Tommy) Wade of Buena Park, CA; 14
grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren.
