18th Annual Meet the Lambies Daze
A Virtual Event hosted by Wolston Farm and

For 17 years Raven OKeefe and Ian Caldicott have opened their farm near Scio one Saturday each Spring for "Meet the Lambies Day". A popular time with families to meet and cuddle only weeks old to newborn lambs. Unfortunately this year you won't get the chance to cuddle in person as in the archive video below, but you can now meet the newborns daily as they arrive right here! Each new lamb will be presented below along with Raven's commentary on their arrival. Be sure to click the images below to view the full size photo.

Robert the Bruce

Born: March 22, 2020

This handsome boy greeted the world on Sunday evening. Ian swears he has no Scottie (Scottish blackface) blood in his veins, but look at his beautiful coloring, much like Sparkle, and his mama has nice horns.

Meet little Sparkle! She and her mama are Scottish blackface, an old country breed that we love. Both the boys and the girls of this breed have horns, so when she grows up she’ll hear admiring cries of “what a rack!”

Antsy and Bitsy

Born: March 22, 2020

Joining the Lambie family today are all-black twin boys. Every year we name a set of black twins with “coal names” Antsy (for Anthracite) and Bitsy (for Bituminous). This year we didn’t have to wait long. You can just see the tiny horn buds on Antsy’s head if you look closely.

Want to donate and  help feed Antsy & Bitsy?

Our first Lambie of this year, a tiny little shetland girl named “Daffodil” since daffodils and Lambies are always the first signs of spring around here, it seemed like the perfect name for this cutie.
