Battle Of The Bands Contest

Attention Stayton, Turner, Jefferson, Regis & Mill City area middle or high school musicians... If you have a band and would like to enter a "Battle Of The Bands" contest, you need to go to Cartwright's Music in downtown Stayton and talk to Mr. Cartwright. We are looking for 5 bands that would like to appear at Cartwright's Music Event Center at 429 N. Third Avenue, in front of an audience. We will record each show live and make available a CD plus we'll videotape the performance and you will also receive a DVD of your performance. All performances will be shown on Community Cable Access Channel as well as the KENC Radio web site. Each band will play their show nights without the other bands performing at the same time. 5 Friday nights will be set aside so that all bands to get to play their show individually. Cartwright's Music will provide the venue, seating for 85 audience members, lights and sound. Each band will play 45 minutes and must have a 15 minute acoustic set along with their electric or regular set. Three judges and popular votes will determine the winner. The winning band will win the title plus performance opportunities and a shopping trip to two music stores... the cost for audience for each show is one can of food for the Stayton Community Food Bank and $2 per person..
