Driver Crashes Into Chase Bank
On Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 1:21am Stayton Police Officers responded to Chase Bank at 1089 N First Avenue in Stayton on a report of a vehicle which had driven into the bank. Upon arrival, Officers found a 1998 Chevrolet pickup inside the lobby of the bank. An investigation determined the driver of the vehicle Mr. Orrin Coates (22 years old) was intoxicated and subsequently arrested for DUII. There was considerable damage to the bank, as the east window wall was destroyed along with the lobby area. submitted photos:
