            Join us at the lodge Tuesday, November 12, 2000 as we honor our veterans. Wear part of you uniform or bring you military decorations to lodge and receive a complimentary steak dinner as our thanks for you service to our country.

Exalted Rulers Message

            I'd like to thank the membership having faith in me and eleting me as your new Exalted Ruler. I will do the best job I can. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your lodge please feel free to bring them to my attention. My wife Peggy would like to thank all the ladies that helped in entertaining V.P. Steve May's wife; Sherri, during their visit to our lodge.
            I just returned from winter convention in lincoln city, Oregon, where everything went smoothly. We are changing our hours of operation effective November 1st. We will continue to open at the same time, however our closing hours will be changing. The only membrs is will affect is our faithful card players. This is nothing personal against any of you. We need to make some changes and this is one we felt needed to be addressed..
            November is Elks Veterans Remembrance Month. Lets take a moment and thank the many veterans who shared their dedicaiton to America with us. We will honor our Veterans at Lodge Tuesday, November 14. Please join us in your uniform or military decoration reprsenting service to our county and get a free steak dinner!
            I 'd like to take this time to commend our club Manager, Sue Bethell for the successful turnaround in our Lodge. I'd like o see more members at our functions as we work with Sue to increase participation. We need your support so that we can continue with our entertainment and the many activities that Sue is planning.

LOUNGE NEWS

            We've been trying defferent menu itmes, and your "feedback" would be appreciated. Let us know which itmes you'd like to see served again. We had a good turnout for the October 8th breakfast. thanks to Gary Winkler, Jan Lowe, Ellie McElravy, Char Thomas, and Earl Renninger; "The Waffleman"Our next breakfast is sunday, November 12th, featuring omelettes.
            November's Birthday Potluck will be November 5th. The theme is "Election 2000". Nacy Grabow and Jean Warney are thinking up some fun categories to vote on. Bring a food item and com on own
            Terry Winkler has been doing a great job filling in for his dad, Gary, on Thursday night soup and sandwiches while Gary and Alex Farnstrom play darts fro the Elks team.
            The 2nd Saturday of every month is Prime Rib Night. Mike Downs, Monica Olin and Steve Miller are doing a great job.
            The 3rd Saturday of every month is pick-a-steak night. We offer a variaety of steaks with Gary Winkler and his crew cooking to order.
            During the next few months we will be trying some different musical venues. Please come to the Lodge and show your support.
