Consider

Preamble

The situations and scenarios set forth on the following pages are fictitious as of now, but could become truth if people don't come to their senses and realize we all exist on this ball of mud together. Without each other there will be no survival. Not for anyone.

If that were the real situation, and somehow it doesn't seem likely that it ever will be, the captive person could be in for some real pleasure, or pain, depending on how they thought about the situation.

It seems to me that it would be a difficult choice as to whether I'd want to be the captor, or captive. For the purpose of this story, that would seem to indicate the need for two parallel stories!

Having made that decision it also occurs to me there may be merit in writing the story from not only the captive/captor points of view; but also from the female/male/captive/captor points of view. If I count correctly, that makes four stories, all of which are built on the same theme, but told from four different points of view.

Upon further reflection, I can see endless combinations of variations on the same theme by simply changing one or two of the characters attitudes.

Something tells me I like this particular idea.

1.         The time is far in the future.

2.         The geography of the area is steps. The greenhouse effect is complete, there are no longer any changes of the seasons.

3.         If it were possible to stand away from the earth, there is no longer any blue or green showing only the white of the tremendous, constant, cloud cover in this age.

4.         Because of the clouds, there is none alive who has ever seen the sun, moon, or stars.

5.         Navigation is reduced to compass readings, due to the constant cloud cover.

6.         If this war continues for many more years the human race will become extinct, probably the best thing that could happen to the earth!

7.         Your location is near the western edge of what used to be known as North America.

8.         You have been a captive now for just slightly over two weeks, during which time you have heard there are others, but have never seen them.

CONSIDER THIS IMPROBABLE SITUATION :

·            You are a prisoner of war in the war of the sexes.

·            You are male.

·            The only place the Geneva convention is mentioned, is in some ancient history books, which reside in a museum.

·            The point the war is about, has long ago been forgotten.

·            Your captors don't want information!

·            There are two factions within your captors organization, Hawks and Doves.

·            The personal in charge of the complex you are housed in are Doves.

·            Hmmmmmm........
