Mandatry Insurance

Part 2

By: JD Hoeye

Consider the following points:

  1. At no time has an auto by itself ever caused an accident.
  2. In every case an accident can be traced to driver(s) error(s). And,
  3. No matter how many vehicles a person owns, only one can be driven by that owner at any given time.

In view of the above points I would suggest the following as possible changes to the law:

  1. Drop all requirements of insurance for the licensing of an auto.
  2. Require named operator insurance as a requisite for issuance of a drivers license.

If those suggestions are in some way unacceptable, make the necessary changes to the law eliminating those which force any non-owner to purchase Named Operator Insurance.

Incidentally Named Operator Insurance is an insurance package no Insurance Company will allow a vehicle owner to buy.
