Most of us in the U.S. of A. live in reletive freedom, not completely free, but not under any apparent direct physical threat. Notice the operative limit the first word, most, imposes on the remainder of the previous sentence? Good. Now what about the implication made by the term; that there is a portion of those living here, in the U.S. of A. who have been threatened and/or subjected to personal physical interferance, restraint and injury. As if that weren't enough, a similarly sizable number suffered loss of home and chattel; often one person suffered both. Often the persecuted persons family sufferes as much, sometimes more, than the anyone; families destroyed, deprived of house, home and sustinance, torn apart physically, damaged emotionally.
I expect most readers don't want to believe, so refuse to admit, such things go on here in our country. I understand it's a tough thing to do; to admit what we believe is no longer true. How could this be? It's not supposed to happen! This countries laws protect us all from those kind of abuses; doesn't it? Well, yes... Or at least it's supposed to; but I'm here to tell you now, what's supposed to be isn't the way it is. Not anymore, or at least not for much longer, not if things keep going they way they have been.
