Bullfighter Billy Schwindt

My name is Billy Schwindt, and I am twenty-five years old. My home town is
Lyons Oregon, and I now live in Stayton Oregon with my wife Lisa.
I started my rodeo career seventeen years ago at age eight riding bulls at
Jr Rodeo and then at High school Rodeos allowing me to be participant at the
NHSRA
Silver State Finals. I continued to ride bulls after high school until about three years ago
when I decided to change it up a bit and went from riding bulls to fighting them.
It started as just something fun to do, I would help out at bull riding
practice pens. Well one thing led to another, and the something fun ended up turning into a
passion! I was given the opportunity to work for the Oregon Jr Bull Riding Association, and I
have worked at every Bull Riding since then for them. This year, I was hired as a
bullfighter
for the Winter Series of “Madd Dogg Bull Riding”.
This summer has me busy working rodeos across the entire state of Oregon.
I feel one of the best will be my home town rodeo, the Santiam Championship Bull Riding in
Sublimity Oregon.
Bullfighter Erick Schwindt

I am Erick Schwindt, 20 years old, and live in Lyons, a small town in Oregon.
About six and a half years ago I was watching a buddy of mine Jess Tenette bullfight, and
that’s all it took.
I took that desire to become a bullfighter and went into training starting
with a Danny Newman’s bullfighting school in Pasco Washington. I couldn’t have
asked for a better teacher and mentor. Danny made learning to fight bulls fun, by teaching me
the correct fundamentals but allowing us to be who we are individually.
My bullfighting career started at the ripe old age of fourteen. Over the
past six years, I’ve been working and fighting bulls for Rusty Gorham and the Oregon Jr
Bull Riding Association. This has allowed me to gain experience and exposure in the sport I
love. I was selected in 2009 to be one of only three bullfighters at the National Jr Bull
Riding Finals in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
As I continue to build my bullfighting career I have set some goals for
myself. I am working to achieve my PRCA card (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association). Once in
the PRCA, my goal would be to build a strong and solid reputation, with the goal of fighting
at the NFR (National Finals Rodeo) someday. I have also thought I wouldn’t mind working
at possibly fighting in the PBR (Professional Bull Riders).
This is an honor to be able to fight bulls for my hometown rodeo!! I will
see you in July!
Pro Rodeo Announcer Wayne White

Creswell Oregon is home on the range to pro rodeo announcer Wayne White and
wife Evie. Involved in rodeo for most of his life, he believes “If you love what you do,
you never go to work a day in your life.” He truly loves the world of rodeo.
He began contesting in all the rough stock events as a young teenager. Upon
joining the PRCA, he concentrated on the bull riding event and travelled all over the United
States and Canada.
The transition from being a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association bull
rider, to PRCA rodeo announcer is a great way to stay involved with the young up and coming
cowboys.
Wayne produces his own events under the banner of Wild West Events Inc.
which produces bull ridings, rough stock rodeos and Wild West shows, as well as providing
western backdrops for corporate events set in western themes. He provides portable W-W rodeo
arenas for other events. Wayne is also an auctioneer and commercial voice on radio stations
throughout the northwest.
When it comes to the image of the cowboy, he still believes the American
cowboy symbolizes everything that is great about America itself.
