Watercolors

My watercolors are my first efforts to colorize the drawings. The initial design evolves in pencil over a period of time. When the design seems to be complete, I transfer it to a watercolor version emphasizing the coloring and modeling of forms. Therefore, my watercolors tend to be studies and, quite frequently, lead to additional variations of design and color. With regard to the images, they evolve from my delight with forms, contours and movements. I think of them as visual melodies.
