True Teachers

Jesus's teachings were not his own. His teachings came from his father, God. Absolutly nothing that he taught originated from his own imagination. He spoke out what he heard his father saying to him. Everything he taught came to him by revelation from his father. Jesus faithfully worked for the honor of the one who sent him.

In John 7: 16-18 Jesus said, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If any one chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God of whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him."

Each person who is truly born-again into the living hope in Christ Jesus is given the Holy Spirit. This is the Spirit of Truth that leads us into all truth. Without his spirit opening our spiritual ears and eyes we remain deaf and blind and cannot perceive the kingdom of God that is within us and amoung us.

Those who are false teachers shut the kingdom of God in men's faces. They seek to draw men into their own kingdoms. In their kingdoms they have the place of honor and men pay homage to them, a form of idolatry. They love to be called Pastor and Teacher and they love societies recognition of them as important leaders in the community. They are false shepherds who feed only themselves and a damnable judgement awaits them.

On the contrary those who have Christ's interests truly in mind gather men to the Saviour. They are willing to preach freely for freely they have received. (Matt. 10:8) They seek the honor of the one who has sent them and not their own. They are not sent by men but by the living God just as Paul was. (Gal.1:1)
Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.
