Sgt Lex Davis was an Electronics countermeasures and intelligence technician stationed at Beale AFB from 1977 to 1980. While stationed at Det One in Kadena, Okinawa he painted caricatures on the doors of the various maintenance shops and the DCM's door. The first segment of his images show his artwork. The second segment reflects the only launch of two SR-71's simultaneously from Kadena. The date was 1978. The two aircraft used for the dual launch was #967 and #960. The current location of these two aircraft are: #967-Turned over to NASA, Space Shuttle area DFRC Edwards AFB, CA and #960-Castle Air Museum, Castle AFB, CA The following images are the copyrighted property of Lex Davis.
