Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the Luckiamute river near Suver
* from this evening to Thursday evening.
* At 10 am Wednesday the stage was...18.8 feet / 3500 cfs.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet and flood flow is 7000 cfs.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...this river is forecast to rise above flood stage around
9 PM Wednesday and is expected to crest near 28.0 ft early
* Impact...above 27.0 ft, expect flooding of low lying and
agricultural lands in the vicinity of Sarah Helmick State Park,
Highway 99w, and Parker Road. Some secondary roads and rural access
roads may be flooded at this point. Flooding along Buena Vista Rd
near the confluence with the Willamette is also likely, especiallly
if the Willamette is running high.

WarningSum:...Flood Watch Is Cancelled For Northwest Oregon And Southwest
Warning Message:The Flood Watch for portions of northwest Oregon and southwest
Washington has been cancelled. Note that flood warnings are
already in effect for the Wilson, Lower Nehalem, and Luckiamute
rivers, but no new flooding is expected on any other rivers in
northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
In addition, an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in
effect for much of the Willamette Valley and Portland / Vancouver
Metro area where minor flooding along creeks and over roads is
possible this afternoon.

* At 1222 PM PST, rainfall is increasing in northwest Oregon and
southwest Washington, and temperatures have warmed into the 40s
and lower 50s in most of the area. Creeks are already running high
from rain overnight, and the additional rain and snowmelt will
cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the advisory area this
afternoon. Expect rainfall totals this afternoon between a quarter
and half inch.
* There have already been numerous reports of flooded roads
thismorning. Some locations that could experience additional
flooding include... Hillsboro, Corvallis, Dallas, McMinnville,
Battle Ground, Sheridan, and much of the Portland and Vancouver
* Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Find
an alternate Route. It's not Worth the risk.

Warning...which is in effect until 3 PM PST this afternoon.
* Winds...south 25 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt decreasing this
afternoon with maximum gusts of 25 kt expected by late
* Seas...23 to 28 ft through late morning subsiding below 20 ft
early this afternoon...and falling into the 13 to 15 ft range
A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
